You will need a Windows 2000 or 2003 server to run IIS (web server) and access to a Microsoft SQL database. If you have an existing SQL database that has extra capacity, then we can use that, else you can install SQL on the same server as the web server.
(note that the same web server and database server can be used for FIDO, CMA and CJApanel)
The clients accessing the judgment and financial modules need to have at least Internet Explorer v5 and be able to view pages from the web server (they have to be connected to use the program). Typically your remote courts are on the same network and can run the application without an issue.
Receipt stations need to be Windows 2000 or XP and have Microsoft .Net and MDAC installed (this is standard on XP). They need to be able to ping your database server so that they can send the receipts as connectivity allows (they do not have to have an always on connection). And of course that also need a printer to print the receipts (any standard windows based printer is acceptable).
Below is a general guideline to setup a new internal web server for this:
1) Install Windows 2000 or 2003 SERVER (Make sure to assign this server a fixed IP address)
2) Install IIS
3) Install SQL server 2000
4) Install SQL service pack 4.0
5) Go to Windows update and do all critical patches
6) Go to Windows update and do .Net install
7) Run C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe –i
8) Setup SQL daily maintenance jobs
9) Turn on SQL agent to auto-start
10) Restore starter Database
11) Run FIDOPatcher
12) From a workstation, browse to your server\FIDO and login as ADMIN to do the final local configuration. See "How to" on the menu for instructions to setup users, etc.
Information that you will need to provide:
Email server, user name and password for the system that will relay email for this IP address
